On the island of Viti Levu lies the capital of the archipelago - Suva - which is also the main port of the country.
The warmest month is January and the coldest is July. November to April is the rainy season, and most cyclones occur during this time. Fiji has a tropical climate. The best time for a visit is from May to October, when the temperatures and humidity are lower.
